The reason why your friends can not adjust the depth because the 9pin needle tips she/he have is the old model. The new 9pin needle tips we supplied can be adjusted. So it's adjusted by the needle, not the machine. And only 9pin needle tips can adjust needle tips. 5pin needle can not do that.

How deep does energy penetrate into the skin? If it depends on the energy range, then what is the range that it penetrates? What is the difference between between a RF of 1 MHz and 3MHz. I swear I read somewhere that 1MHz is actually better for the skin than 3MHz but I can't remember why.Dear Kristina, The penetration depth depends on the frequency, not the energy level. The higher RF frequency, the shorter the penetration depth. So 1MHz will go deeper than 3MHz. It's hard to say which one is better if not mention the skin situation and which treatment you want. To be honest, there is no huge difference between 1MHz and 3MHz RF as the frequency is very close. I hope this may help you.
