Introduction

Gouri is an exceptional filler from the manufacturer DexLevo Inc. which, due to its exceptional composition, is responsible for a comprehensive rejuvenation of the entire face. The liquid polycaprolactone, or PCL for short, which makes this product so unique, regenerates the body's own collagen and, completely free of microparticles or other active ingredients, ensures comprehensive revitalisation and wrinkle smoothing of the skin. Gouri thus treats even deep facial wrinkles, but can also be used exclusively in the eye area to make it look awake and youthful again. Thanks to a specially developed application protocol, Gouri also achieves a comprehensive lifting effect.

1. GOURI VS Dermal Fillers

GOURI is developed using DEXLEVO’s Caollagenesis-Enabled Solubilized Active and Biodegradable Polymer Technology (CESABP) technology that enables regeneration of natural skin collagen without the use of microparticles.
There are hyaluronic acid (HA)- base fillers and PCL-base fillers. Dermal fillers may also have a regenerative impact on the collagen. Due to the nature and shape of particles, dermal filler cannot be injected evenly into the skin. As a result, these fillers are limited to focal areas only. For example, we can use Ellanse (a PCL-based filler) to fill up certain types of acne scars.

As such, GOURI is more for a generalized effect while dermal fillers are more targeted and focused on areas that have a specific volume defect. 

2. GOURI VS Profhilo

While both GOURI and Profhilo only require 10 injection points, they are made of different substances. GOURI is made with fully solubilized liquid form of PCL while Profhilo is made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Profhilo can help with hydrating the skin as well as giving a gentle glow to the skin, while GOURI helps by giving a gentle lifting effect to the face in a generalized fashion.

Benefit

Both in the eye area and in the rest of the face, the Gouri injection should be performed in the deep to subdermal dermis. The recommended needle size is 30G to 35G.

Treatment Procedure

Before the treatment: Cleanse the client's face with lukewarm water and, if necessary, apply a numbing cream to the areas to be treated. This should be left on for about 20 to 30 minutes before you remove the cream from the face with alcohol pads. Now the face is prepared for the Gouri treatment.

1st injection point: The first injection with Gouri is placed in the centre of the forehead, in line with the pupil. Use 0.25 ml per point and gently massage the treated areas for 5 to 10 minutes.

2nd injection point: The second injection point is located in horizontal line with the nostril, about 2 to 3 cm from it. Again, use a dose of 0.25 ml each.

3rd injection point: The third point is also at the level of the nostril, i.e. parallel to the 2nd injection point, but about 3 to 4 cm further out. Inject a total of 0.25 ml at each point.

4th injection point: The fourth injection should be administered 2 to 3 cm from the lips at the level of the lip line. Again, a dose of 0.25 ml each should be applied.

5th injection point: Finally, the fifth and last injection with Gouri can be made. This should be done in the area marked in red (see illustration), 1.5 to 2 cm horizontally and vertically from the eye. A quantity of 0.5 ml can be used in each eye.

MoryTip: This protocol represents a treatment of one half of the face. So please make sure that a total of 10 injections are needed. If you only want to rejuvenate the area around the eyes, you can skip injection points 1 to 4.

Possible side effects

Some mild swelling, redness, and/or bruising may appear on the treated site, but these symptoms typically disappear within one week.

FAQ

1. Can I use GOURI on the body?
We recommend to use GOURI on the face only. We are collecting clinical data about other indications, such as hand, neck injections.

2. How long does it take to see first results after the application?
It depends on a patient’s condition. It takes some time to induce neocollagenesis after injection. Normally you can see first visual results within 1-2 weeks.

3. How often should a Gouri treatment be performed?
In order to achieve the best possible results, a total of 3 treatments should be carried out at intervals of 4 weeks, and then 1 to 2 follow-up treatments after every 3 to 6 months. This follow-up treatment also depends on the skin condition of the client.

4. For how long does GOURI last?
It depends on a person. PCL is a high molecular material. It usually takes 6-12 months for the PCL to get degraded in the body.

5. Can I mix or combine GOURI with other product like Botox, HA fillers, PRP and etc.?
We recommend 1-month interval before and after taking other treatment. One of the strong features of GOURI is it's compatibility with other products. You can apply non-crosslinked skin booster or Botox together. Yet, do not mix any other products with GOURI. When it comes to HA fillers and other cross-linked materials, we recommend 1-month interval before and after the treatment.

6. Can I dissolve GOURI after the injection?
GOURI is a PCL-based dermal injectable that has high molecular. This brings about GOURI cannot be dissolved easily once injected. However, as for GOURI, it does not induce any instant volumizing changes, meaning that GOURI doesn’t need to be dissolved.
