Mechanism of Action

The way that PPC (phosphatidylcholine) dissolves fat is by breaking down fat deposits when it is injected into subcutaneous fat. Adipocytes, or fat cells, break down as a result of this process, which is called lipolysis. Triglycerides, or stored fat, are released into the bloodstream more easily when PPC works on the fat cell membranes, increasing their permeability. After being released, these fats are then carried to the liver, where they are metabolized and ultimately removed from the body. Furthermore, PPC is thought to promote the synthesis of enzymes that are essential for the breakdown of lipids.

Treatment 

Dr. Lipo+ V is recommended for use by medical professionals or trained aestheticians only. 

The product is ready to use. It does not require mixing with other solutions.

1. Pre-mark the area where Dr. Lipo+ V will be injected for easy navigation and to avoid overtreatment in one place.
2. Make sure to sanitize the area before injecting. Anesthetics are not needed during the procedure; however, they may be used for sensitive patients.
3. The recommended amount of injection per session is 2mL of Dr. Lipo+ V for a full face treatment procedure. Each point of injection is usually 0.1 to 0.2 mL of solution with an interval of 1 cm between each mark.
4. The injection depth has to be 5 mm as you will be aiming for the subcutaneous fat layer.
5. Topical antibiotics may be applied to prevent infection.
6. Patients may experience some discomfort and pain in the injection site, but it will only last for a few days.

AFTERCARE

• Cold compress can be used to alleviate symptoms such as discomfort and inflammation.
• Patients are instructed not to massage the area for the next 48 hours after the procedure
• Patients can follow up after 4 weeks for the medical team to assess the results and plan further treatment sessions if needed. 

DURATION OF EFFECT

Results are visible after the 1st treatment. Typically, 2 to 3 treatment sessions are required to attain optimal results, with a 10-day interval between sessions. The procedure can take eight weeks with a gap of 4 weeks between two sessions. The duration between the two sessions can be increased to 8 weeks to reduce the number of sessions as the fat cells are permanently removed, thus offering a long-lasting effect.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Dr. Lipo+ is not allowed to be administered to pregnant and breastfeeding patients, minors and children, and diabetic patients.

NOTE

• No alcohol, seafood, spicy food within 24 hours after injection.
• Do not contact the injection area with water, hand or anything within 4 hours after injection
• Drink a lot of water and exercise will help to speed up the dissolving process.

Storage

The unopened Lipo Lab should be stored range from 2℃ to 30℃.

Expiration

The shelf-life of Lipo Lab is 36 months from the manufacturing date.
